SEC Game Previews: Week Eight

Jeremy Hillman | southeasternfootball.com

As we head into week eight of the college football season, teams are jockeying for position in the SEC. Some teams are on the rise, while others seem to be slipping. Can Ole Miss turn things around against Arkansas? Will Tennessee give Alabama a run for their money? Here are my thoughts on those games, and more, in this week’s SEC game previews:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 5-1 (83%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 6-0 (100%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 46-8 (85%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 32-17 (65%)

WEEK EIGHT

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

Arkansas at Ole Miss

(Saturday, October 24th –12:20 SEC Network)

Predicted Game MVP:  Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett

Bottom Line:  This may be the game of the day. Ole Miss is desperate to turn things around and Arkansas is hoping to make another statement after playing well the last few weeks.  The Arkansas offense will continue to rack up yards and the Ole Miss offense will move the ball effectively, but make just enough mistakes to lose a close one at home.

Predicted Score:  Arkansas 30 Ole Miss 27 (line: Ole Miss -6.5)

Auburn at LSU

(Saturday, October 24th  – 7:30 ESPN2)

Predicted Game MVP:  LSU WR Brandon LaFell

Bottom Line:  Auburn has lost two straight games, after starting the season 5-0,  and is trying to find it winning ways again.  LSU is in the thick of the SEC West race and can’t look past Auburn to Alabama.  LSU will run the ball effectively and play ball control to grab a home victory.

Predicted Score: LSU 27 Auburn 20 (line: LSU -7.5)

Tennessee at Alabama

(Saturday, October 24th – 3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama RB Mark Ingram

Bottom Line:  Alabama has looked good in the running game and on defense all season. This game will be no different. Tennessee will slow down the Tide offense at times, but the outcome will be a win for Bama, as the Vols will struggle to get things going on offense.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 31 Tennessee 16 (line: Alabama -14.5)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

Vanderbilt at South Carolina

(Saturday, October 24th – 7:00 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia

Bottom Line: Vanderbilt isn’t a very good football team right now. South Carolina is playing well. That is a formula for a blow out. The Commodore defense will not let it get out of hand…but the Gamecocks will win easily.

Predicted Score:  South Carolina 24 Vanderbilt 7 (line: South Carolina -13)

Mississippi State at Florida

(Saturday, October 17th – 7:30 ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Florida QB Tim Tebow

Bottom Line:  Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen is a protégé of Florida Head Coach Urban Meyer. He will try and use his knowledge of his old offense and offensive stars like Tim Tebow, to slow down the Gators. Problem is, the Bulldogs don’t have the talent on the roster just yet to challenge a star filled Gators squad. It will be fun for about a quarter, then it will be the Gators pulling away.

Predicted Score:  Florida 34 Mississippi State 14 (line: Florida -22.5)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Louisiana-Monroe at Kentucky

(Saturday, October 24th – 7:00 FSN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Kentucky WR Randall Cobb

Bottom Line:  Kentucky is playing good football and are coming off a big road win against Auburn. They will have a hang over for the first part of this game, but will blow past La-Mo in the second half with Locke and Cobb rushing the football.

Predicted Score:  Kentucky 37 La-Mo 13 (line: Kentucky -14)

WEEK 7 SEC PREVIEW

As we head into the second half of the season, the games will get even more intense as teams battle for championships, bowl game position and rankings. Will Alabama stay undefeated? Can Arkansas challenge Florida? Find out my thoughts on these teams, and more, in this weeks preview:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 4-3 (57%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 3-4 (44%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 41-7 (85%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 26-17 (60%)

WEEK SEVEN

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

South Carolina at Alabama

(Saturday, October 17th – 7:45  ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama WR Julio Jones

Bottom Line:  Stephen Garcia will make some nice throws for the Gamecock offense, but will be sacked several times as well. South Carolina will slow down the Alabama running game just a bit with a hard hitting defense.  However, McElroy will find Julio Jones for a big play that will seal the win.  It will be a little closer than the home crowd will prefer, but Alabama will move to 7-0 on the season.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 27 South Carolina 14 (line: Alabama -17)

Arkansas at Florida

(Saturday, October 17th  – 3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Tim Tebow QB Florida

Bottom Line: Ryan Mallet and Arkansas will score early. Arkansas will keep it close at first. Then Tim Tebow will start to expose the struggling Arkansas defense and the Florida defense will put the clamps down on the Razorback running game. The game will be out of reach for the Razorbacks by mid-third quarter. The win will go to the Gators at home.

Predicted Score: Florida 37 Arkansas 20 (line: Florida -24)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

Kentucky at Auburn

(Saturday, October 17th)

Predicted Game MVP:  Auburn RB Ben Tate

Bottom Line:  Auburn will be hungry for a win, after last weeks let down at Arkansas. Kentucky will play the Tigers tough and keep it close (as they did last week versus South Carolina), but Ben Tate and the Auburn running game will wear down the Wildcats. Look for a big home win that qualifies Auburn for a bowl game.

Predicted Score:  Auburn 31 Kentucky 21 (line: Auburn -14)

Georgia at Vanderbilt

(Saturday, October 17th –12:21 ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Georgia LB Rennie Curran

Bottom Line: Both of these teams need a win really badly. Look for the Georgia defense to shut down Vanderbilt’s offense and the Bulldog offense to get enough productivity to keep this from being close.  Georgia wins without too much stress.

Predicted Score:  Georgia 23 Vanderbilt 10  (line: Georgia -8)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Mississippi State at Middle Tennessee State

(Saturday, October 17th – 12:30 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Mississippi State RB Anthony Dixon

Bottom Line:  After a tough loss to Houston last week, State is looking to get things back on track with a win. It won’t be easy, as this is a road game against a decent MTSU football team.  However, Anthony Dixon will have a solid rushing day and help the Bulldogs to a road victory.

Predicted Score:  Mississippi State 28 MTSU 19 (line: Mississippi State -3)

UAB at Ole Miss

(Saturday, October 17th -- 2:00)

Predicted Game MVP:  Ole Miss WR Dexter McCluster

Bottom Line:  This could be an ugly game. Neither team has fulfilled preseason expectations, and both will try to use this game as preparation for looming conference battles. Javon Snead will look better against a less-than-stellar Balzer defense and the Rebels will win with relative ease.

Predicted Score:  Ole Miss 36 UAB 10 (line: Ole Miss -22)

SEC Game Previews: Week Six

Jeremy Hillman | southeasternfootball.com

Separation Saturday in the SEC is upon us. With huge games dotting this weekends’ football schedule, the pecking order in the SEC will be a little clearer after this big day.  Is Ole Miss as average as they have seemed so far? Will Tim Tebow play against LSU? Will Auburn stay undefeated? Find my thoughts on these teams, and more, in this weeks’ SEC preview:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 6-1 (86%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 4-2 (66%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 37-4 (91%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 23-13 (64%)

WEEK FOUR

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

Florida at LSU

(Saturday, October 10th  – 8:00 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Florida LB Brandon Spikes

Bottom Line:  All the talk is about whether Tim Tebow will play or not. The talk should be about the Florida defense. That is who will win the game, regardless of who takes snaps for the Gators. The Gator D will wreak havoc on LSU QB Jordan Jefferson and the LSU ground game. Look for an ugly and close game, with Florida winning on a late turnover.

Predicted Score:  Florida 23 LSU 17 (line: Florida -8)

Auburn at Arkansas

(Saturday, October 10th  – Noon ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Auburn WR Darvin Adams

Bottom Line: There will be plenty of points scored in this one. Both offenses have shown they can put up a bunch of yards, in a hurry. While both teams will hit on several big pass plays, Auburn has the better running game and the slightly better defense and will come away with another SEC road win.

Predicted Score:  Auburn 38 Arkansas 33 (line: Auburn -2.5)

Alabama at Ole Miss

(Saturday, October 10th  3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama RB Mark Ingram

Bottom Line:  So far, Ole Miss hasn’t looked at all like the national championship contender they were projected to be. So far, Alabama has. This trend will continue in Oxford on Saturday, as the Alabama running game will be too much for the Rebel defense. Dexter McCluster will make a few plays for Ole Miss, but not enough to pull the big home win as the Alabama defense will continue to look solid.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 29 Ole Miss 16 (line: Alabama -6.5)

Georgia at Tennessee

(Saturday, October 10th 12:20 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Georgia WR A.J. Green

Bottom Line:  Neither team is happy with their record so far this season. That makes this almost a must win game, for both programs. Look for some hard hitting and creative play calling, as they pull out all the stops to get a “W”.  Stud Bulldog receiver A.J. Green will be the difference, with a few big plays throughout the game.

Predicted Score:  Georgia 24 Tennessee 19 (line: Tennessee -1)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

Kentucky at South Carolina

(Saturday, October 10th  – 12:30)

Predicted Game MVP:  South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia

Bottom Line:  The tough schedule continues for Kentucky. Facing three of the top defenses in the nation, with games against Florida, Alabama and now South Carolina in succession. The Gamecock defense will stop the Wildcats and South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia will lead Carolina to another conference victory.

Predicted Score:  South Carolina 28 Kentucky 17 (line: South Carolina -10)

Houston at Mississippi State

(Saturday, October 10th  –12:30 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Houston QB Case Keenum

Bottom Line: A huge game for the Bulldogs, who need a win if they will have any hope at all for a bowl bid this season.  However, Mississippi State will not be able to slow down Case Keenum and the prolific Houston offense enough to stay in the game. State will run the ball well, with Anthony Dixon grinding out big chunks of yardage…but will still end up with an ugly home loss.

Predicted Score:  Houston 38 Mississippi State 24 (line: Houston -1)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Vanderbilt at Army

(Saturday, October 10th – Noon)

Predicted Game MVP:  Vanderbilt RB Warren Norman

Bottom Line:  Vanderbilt needs a win, and should get it against a beatable Army program.  Freshman back Warren Norman will break off a couple big runs, and the Commodores will pull away in the second half.

Predicted Score:  Vanderbilt 24 Army 13 (line: Vanderbilt -10.5)

SEC WEEK 5

We are through the first quarter of the college football season, and we are still learning about many of the teams in the SEC. The second quarter is about to begin…here are my predictions for the 5th week of SEC football:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 7-1 (88%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 3-5 (38%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 31-3 (91%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 19-11 (64%)

WEEK FOUR

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

LSU at Georgia

(Saturday, October 3rd – 3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Georgia WR A.J. Green

Bottom Line:  Both teams come off close hard fought games that they won in the final seconds. Which team can bounce back emotionally and physically and grab the momentum in this game early?  Look for A.J. Green and the passing game to slightly outperform Jordan Jefferson and the LSU offense. Bulldogs in a close one.

Predicted Score:  Georgia 24 LSU 19 (line: Georgia -3)

Auburn at Tennessee

(Saturday, October 3rd – 7:45 ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Auburn DE Antonio Coleman

Bottom Line: A suddenly dangerous Auburn offense verse a solid Tennessee defense, should make for a good game on Saturday night. The difference will turn out to be the Auburn defense and its’ ability to create turnovers this season. Tennessee quarterback Jonathan Crompton will be harassed and turn over the ball, and the game.

Predicted Score:  Auburn 27 Tennessee 21 (line: Tennessee -1.5)

Georgia Tech at Mississippi State

(Saturday, October 3rd7:30 ESPN 360)

Predicted Game MVP:  Georgia Tech RB Jonathan Dwyer

Bottom Line:  The Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker last Saturday, on a goal line stand in the final seconds. Can they bounce back and be ready face a tough Yellow Jackets squad? The home game crowd will help, but State will be unable to slow down Jonathan Dwyer and the Tech running game. Look for a sloppy and close game, with the visiting team grabbing the victory.

Predicted Score:  Georgia Tech 23 Mississippi State 20 (line: Georgia Tech -4.5)

Texas A&M at Arkansas

(Saturday, October 3rd7:30 ESPN 2)

Predicted Game MVP:  Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett

Bottom Line:  Look for plenty of offense in this one. Arkansas will pass the ball effectively, and the Aggies will rip through a porous Razorback defense with screens and runs.  In the end, I will give the edge to the home team in this shootout.

Predicted Score:  Arkansas 34 Texas A&M 31 (line: Arkansas -1)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

Ole Miss at Vanderbilt

(Saturday, September 26th – 7:00 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Ole Miss WR Dexter McCluster

Bottom Line:  Ole Miss will be hungry to get back on track after a disappointing loss at South Carolina last Thursday. Vanderbilt doesn’t have the play makers to keep up with the Rebels for four quarters, but will keep it close early. Ole Miss will rebound and win comfortably, pulling away in the second half.

Predicted Score:  Ole Miss 30 Vanderbilt 13 (line: Ole Miss -9)

Alabama at Kentucky

(Saturday, October 3rd – 12:20 ESPN Game Plan)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama RB Mark Ingram

Bottom Line: Alabama will run, run some more and then run again. Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram will both go over 100 yards rushing and Alabama will win big. Kentucky will get a couple big plays from WR (and Wildcat formation QB) Randall Cobb, but it won’t be enough to keep the game close.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 33 Kentucky 10 (line: Alabama -16)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

South Carolina State at South Carolina

(Saturday, October 3rd – 7:00 ESPN Classic)

Predicted Game MVP:  South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia

Bottom Line:  This will be a little closer than some fans expect. South Carolina State is not all that bad of a bad football team. However, Stephen Garcia will connect on some big throws and the Gamecocks will come up with the easy win.

Predicted Score:  South Carolina 31 SC State 8 (line: No Line)

SEC Preview: Week 4

We are through the first quarter of the college football season, and we are still learning about many of the teams in the SEC. The second quarter is about to begin…here are my predictions for the 4th week of SEC football:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 7-1 (88%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 6-2 (75%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 24-2 (92%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 16-6 (73%)

WEEK FOUR

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

Arkansas at Alabama

(Saturday, September 26th – 3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama RB Mark Ingram

Bottom Line:  This one will be fun to watch.  Can Ryan Mallett throw the ball all over the field against this Bama defense (the Arkansas QB threw for over 400 yards last Saturday against Georgia)? Can the struggling Arkansas defense slow down the Alabama running game at all? The Razorbacks will have a few big passing plays, and keep it close early. Then the Bama defense and running game will control the second half and pull away with the win.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 38 Arkansas 24 (line: Alabama -17.5)

Ole Miss at South Carolina

(Thursday, September 24th – 7:45 ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Ole Miss WR Dexter McCluster

Bottom Line: Ole Miss has yet to be tested this season. Memphis and SE Louisiana have not been much of a challenge. This one will be. The South Carolina defense is solid and will give the Rebel offense fits all night. South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia will hit on a few big plays for the Gamecocks and make this one close. In the end, Javon Sneed and Ole Miss will produce just enough offense to grab an SEC road win.

Predicted Score:  Ole Miss 24 South Carolina 17 (line: Ole Miss -4)

Arizona State at Georgia

(Saturday, September 26th – 7:00 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Georgia WR A.J. Green

Bottom Line:  In the last two games the Georgia offense has been on fire (93 points in two games verse SEC competition). However, the Sun Devils will bring a good defense to Athens.  Arizona State will slow down the Bulldog rushing attack, but will have no answer for stud WR, A.J. Green, and the Georgia passing game. Look for improved play from the Georgia defense, a group that has played poorly so far this season. The Bulldogs will grab a nice out of conference win here.

Predicted Score:  Georgia 34 Arizona State 19 (line: Georgia -11.5)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

LSU at Mississippi State

(Saturday, September 26th -- 11:21 SEC Network)

Predicted Game MVP:  LSU WR Brandon LaFell

Bottom Line: This game will depend on the play of LSU QB Jordan Jefferson. In what has been a bit of a disappointing start for the QB with tons of potential, he needs to play sharp for the Tigers to pull away from the Bulldogs this Saturday.  Mississippi State will pound the ball on offense with its running game and screen passes, and try to manage the clock and keep the game close. That will work for a short time. Then the LSU offense will make big plays in the second half that will clinch the win for the visiting team.

Predicted Score:  LSU 28 Mississippi State 14 (line: LSU -15)

Florida at Kentucky

(Saturday, September 26th – 6:00 ESPN2)

Predicted Game MVP:  Florida QB Tim Tebow

Bottom Line: It will be another ho-hum win for Florida. Randall Cobb and the Kentucky offense are good, and will make things interesting…at least early on. Ultimately, Tebow will run around and make some big plays and the Gator defense will control the game. The Gators will move to 4-0.

Predicted Score:  Florida 35 Kentucky 16 (line: Florida -22)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Ohio at Tennessee

(Saturday, September 26th – 7:00 ESPN GP)

Predicted Game MVP:  Tennessee RB Montario Hardesty

Bottom Line:  Tennessee is feeling good about itself after keeping things close with #1 Florida last week. They will dominate play at the line of scrimmage in this one and win handily with their defense and running game. Ohio will struggle to get things going on the road and the Vols will win pulling away.

Predicted Score:  Tennessee 30 Ohio 9 (line: Tennessee -23)

Ball State at Auburn

(Saturday, September 26th – 7:30 ESPN GP)

Predicted Game MVP:  Auburn RB Onterio McCalleb

Bottom Line: This one could be a rout. The Cardinal defense will have trouble slowing down a dangerous Auburn running game. The focus for Auburn will be on improved tackling on defense, after being sloppy with tackles last week in the West Virginia win. Look for long Tiger runs early and often, and an easy Auburn win.

Predicted Score:  Auburn 45 Ball State 10 (line: Auburn -32.5)

Vanderbilt at Rice

(Saturday, September 26th – 8:00 CSS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Vanderbilt RB Jared Hawkins

Bottom Line: Vanderbilt needs a rebound win, after being drubbed by Mississippi State last weekend. Look for more offensive effectiveness this Saturday compared to last week, as the Commodores get the ground game going early verse Rice. This one could be interesting because it is a road game for Vanderbilt, but the ‘Dores will pull out a close one.

Predicted Score:  Vanderbilt 21 Rice 14 (line: Vanderbilt -7)

SEC Preview: Week Three

Games are flying by and we are already in the third week of the season. The action has been fast and furious and the games will continue to be exciting this week. Here are my thoughts on the third week of SEC football:

Jeremy Hillman’s Results:

Last Week Straight up: 5-1 (83%)

Last Week Against The Spread: 3-3 (50%)

Overall Season Straight Up: 17-1 (94%)

Overall Season Against The Spread: 10-4 (71%)

WEEK THREE

DO NOT MISS THESE GAMES:

Georgia at Arkansas

(Saturday, September 19th -- 7:45 ESPN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett

Bottom Line:  Arkansas has had two weeks to prepare and rest for this game.  Georgia has played two tough games leading up to this one and have injuries to show for it. That will be the slight difference in this one, as the home team comes out with a close win behind the fresh legs of RB Michael Smith and the arm of QB Ryan Mallett.

Predicted Score:  Arkansas 28 Georgia 26 (line: Arkansas -1)

Tennessee at Florida

(Saturday, September 19th – 3:30 CBS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Florida QB Tim Tebow

Bottom Line: The Florida players have this one circled, after Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin had, now famous, comments about the recruiting practices of Florida Coach Urban Meyer. It will not be quite as lopsided as some predict, because the Vols can run the ball and have a good defense. However, it will be a sure Gator win with Tebow leading the way.

Predicted Score:  Florida 45 Tennessee 17 (line: Florida -30)

West Virginia at Auburn

(Saturday, September 19th – 7:45 ESPN2)

Predicted Game MVP:  Auburn S Zac Ethridge

Bottom Line:  Both teams are off to a good 2-0 start.  Both teams had impressive wins and impressive offensive production last week. The difference will be on defense, where the fast Tiger D will slow down the Mountaineers…just a bit more than the Mountaineers slow down the Tigers.  Just like last season in this game, the home team will win.

Predicted Score:  Auburn 34 West Virginia 27 (line: Auburn -6.5)

COULD BE FUN TO WATCH:

Mississippi State at Vanderbilt

(Saturday, September 19th  -- 7:00 FSN)

Predicted Game MVP:  Mississippi State RB Anthony Dixon

Bottom Line: The Bulldogs are coming off a beating from Auburn, and need a win here badly. The Commodores have played well two weeks in a row on defense and are the better team here.  Unfortunately for Vanderbilt, they have suffered some damaging injuries that will affect their chances.  Look for a road win behind the running of State RB Anthony Dixon.

Predicted Score:  Mississippi State 21 Vanderbilt 20 (line: Vanderbilt -9)

Louisville at Kentucky

(Saturday, September 19th – Noon ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  Kentucky WR Randall Cobb

Bottom Line: Kentucky looked sharp against Miami(OH) in week one, while Louisville didn’t look sharp at all against lowly Indiana State. They have both had a week off to prepare for this rival game and each team should be ready to go. Both defenses will play well, but the Wildcat offense will outplay the Cardinals offensive unit.

Predicted Score:  Kentucky 31 Louisville 17 (line: Kentucky -13.5)

WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

La-La at LSU

(Saturday, September 19th – 7:00 ESPNU)

Predicted Game MVP:  LSU WR Brandon LaFell

Bottom Line:  The LSU offense hasn’t gotten going in the first two games, and needs to find its groove. This may be the game that QB Jordan Jefferson gets a chance to throw the ball down the field and utilize his receivers. Louisiana Lafayette will play hard and do a few good things, but the LSU defense will keep it from being close.

Predicted Score:  LSU 38 La-La 10 (line: LSU -26.5)

Florida Atlantic at South Carolina

(Saturday, September 19th – 7:00)

Predicted Game MVP:  South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia

Bottom Line: This game is tougher than it appears for the Gamecocks. The Owls have a good passing game and could keep things close if South Carolina isn’t bringing their A game. After a tough loss to Georgia, Steve Spurrier will do his best to get his troops fired up for this one. It will be close early, but the Gamecocks will wake up and pull away late.

Predicted Score:  South Carolina 34 FIU 13 (line: South Carolina -21)

North Texas at Alabama

(Saturday, September 19th – 12:21 SEC Network)

Predicted Game MVP:  Alabama RB Trent Richardson

Bottom Line: This is the sleep walk portion of Alabama’s schedule. After a win over FIU last week, Bama suits up to play an overmatched North Texas team. It will be a task for the Tide to get pumped for another seemingly easy win, but Saban will have his kids focused…especially on kick off coverages. This one won’t be close.

Predicted Score:  Alabama 38 North Texas 7 (line: Alabama -28)

CREAM PUFF:

SE Louisiana at Ole Miss

(Saturday, September 19th – 7:30 CSS)

Predicted Game MVP:  Ole Miss WR Dexter McCluster

Bottom Line: This one will be a blow out. The Rebels will use this game to iron out the kinks they had versus Memphis in week 1 and get prepared for South Carolina next week. Ole Miss will crush the Lions.

Predicted Score:  Ole Miss 52 SE La 3 (line: No line)
